Scott Shoemaker is a Senior loan officer for
Mortgage Options. He has worked in the lending
industry for nearly three years. He has a BS in
Finance and Financial Planning. He also holds
and MBA with an emphasis in Information Systems
and Finance. Scott began his career as the
Director of Finance for a thirty-unit, retail
food chain. The next 12 years he worked in the
Biotech industry as the Western Regional Sales
Manager for a laboratory supplier and Director
of Business Development for a Biotech Publisher.
He has consulted for small businesses including
several international pharmaceutical companies.
Scott’s decision to work in financial lending as
a consultant was based on his experience with
friends who struggled with managing their
mortgage, installment and consumer debts. He
attributes his success to taking a personal
approach while focusing on his client’s
financial goals in the mortgage selecting
process. Scott also has a strong reputation
working closely with Real Estate and Financial
Services Professionals (CPAs, Financial
Planners), for helping their respective clients
with home purchases or managing their mortgage
as part of a financial plan.
Scott and his wife Amy live with their seven
children, ages 7 through 19, in Trabuco Canyon.
Their very active life is filled with supporting
their children in dance, club soccer, track,
lacrosse, basketball, Brownies and Boy Scouts.
Scott’s wife Amy is the Director of Pharmacy for
Los Angeles County DHS and has served as
presidents of the LA County Chicano Employee’s
Association and Irvine Laser’s Soccer club.
Scott has served as president South Coast Metro
Retail Association. He has coached little league
baseball, AYSO and CYSA soccer. A former Eagle
Scout, Scott has been Scout Master, Varsity
Coach, Explorer Advisor, and actively involved
in scouting as an Assistant Scout Master and
merit badge counselor.
