Saeed Ghaffari, President and Founder
 Saeed’s
business philosophy is simple: “The key to
success is to create an ambience where people
are happy.”
And that’s what he’s been doing at Mortgage
Options since 1993.
Saeed did not choose a traditional path into the
mortgage business. In college he was fascinated
with science and technology. As a result, he
graduated from CSU Fullerton with a degree in
Electrical Engineering in 1986.
“I loved the sciences. And I am still enthralled
with science and technology today,” says Saeed.
“But after graduating, I discovered my real
talent and earning potential was in the people
business.”
In December 1988, Saeed left the sciences and
started working in the mortgage industry as a
Loan Officer Trainee.
After five years of mastering the skills of a
loan officer and picking up the tricks of the
trade, his ambitious and entrepreneurial
character led him to start his own company. In
February 1993, he founded Mortgage Options.
After starting Mortgage Options, Saeed learned
that owning and operating a successful and
profitable business was much more difficult and
challenging than being a successful loan
officer.
“I realized that if I was going to be a
successful business owner, I would need to
associate and connect with successful people,”
says Saeed.
Saeed’s desire to create a successful company
compelled him to read motivational books and
search for resources and guidance. He joined the
Anaheim Hills Rotary Club, the Orange Chamber of
Commerce and the Chapman University School of
Business Corporate Partner and Dean’s Circle.
Through his contacts with members of these
organizations, he picked up bits and pieces from
each organization and formulated his own formula
for success and happiness.
“After a few years of struggling to run a
profitable business, I finally figured it out,”
says Saeed.
“My formula was simple: no matter what business
you are in, no matter what type of product you
manufacture or sell, no matter what type of
service you provide, the key to your success is
to create an ambience where people are happy.
And that includes everyone you work with: your
clients, staff, investors, vendors and service
providers.”
Saeed continues to offer his advice: “You make
sure you earn the business of your clients. You
make sure to treat your staff fairly and
compensate them justly. You make sure to show
respect and appreciation for the hard work of
your staff, investors, vendors and service
providers.
“When you do that and keep in mind that success
is a journey and not a destination, everything
else falls into place and life is fun.”
Saeed’s formula worked. Today he has created the
ambience he envisioned.
His company’s slogan reflects his original
vision: Mortgage Options, a company built on
relationships.
In addition to running Mortgage Options, Saeed
is the 2005-2006 President of the Anaheim Hills
Rotary Club. He also serves as a Corporate
Partner to the Chapman University School of
Business Corporate Partner and Dean’s Circle.
Saeed lives with his wife Sarah in Anaheim
Hills. Although they have no children yet, he
loves the people he works with. “My family? It
is the people I work with at Mortgage Options
and our wonderful clients.”
